EdmontonContractor.ca (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is an online directory of contractors serving Edmonton and surrounding areas, operated by Unconventional Group. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have. We handle personal information in accordance with Canada’s PIPEDA and Alberta’s PIPA.

Information you give us
- Forms — name, business name, email, phone, and any details you submit when you request a quote, claim or list a business, contact us, or download a resource.
- Resource downloads — the email and details you provide to access guides and templates.
Contractor listing information
Our directory includes business listings compiled from publicly available sources (public business profiles, directories, and websites). This is business contact information about a commercial operation. If you’re a listed business and want your listing edited or removed, see our listing policy.
Collected automatically
- Usage data — IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, and similar analytics, via cookies and similar technologies.
How we use your information
- Operate and improve the directory;
- Respond to inquiries, quote requests, and submissions;
- Process listing claims and new listings;
- Deliver resources you request;
- Send relevant communications, where permitted (you can opt out anytime);
- Detect and prevent fraud or abuse, and comply with the law.
Sponsored partners and sharing
We feature sponsored partners on our contractor-facing pages. If you’re a contractor who submits a lead form, claims a listing, lists your business, or downloads a contractor resource, we may share your details with these partners so they can contact you about relevant services. We do not share homeowner information with partners for marketing, and we do not sell personal information.
We may share information with service providers (hosting, analytics, email) who process data on our behalf, and with legal recipients where required by law. Some providers may process data outside Canada.
Your rights
Under PIPEDA and Alberta PIPA you can access, correct, or request deletion of your information, and withdraw consent or opt out of marketing at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us below.
